Write an analysis on “leading the witness,” or putting words in the witness’s mouth, after seeing the harangue. Leading questions in a trial are generally detailed and indicate what a witness has gone through, rather than allowing the witness to describe what happened. In a customer survey, you want to allow your consumers to offer an accurate description of their experience rather than telling them how they should feel about it. Your survey’s objective should be to elicit an honest response that provides insight and feedback on the customer experience. A loaded question is one that makes a guess about a customer’s habits or views. People accidentally agree or disagree with an implied message while answering the question.
