Write a research paper on a recipe that you think represents your culture. And again, this is culture in the broad sense. This can be a recipe for something you grew up with and you have fond memories of or always ate at holidays, or it could be something that you have been exposed to as an adult but has become important to you. Your tasks: 1. Identify the dish you are going to focus on. 2. Explain why you chose this dish and its cultural significance to you as a person. When did you first start eating this? What does it mean to you (that is, why is it significant to you)? 3. Write out the recipe for this dish including ingredients and cooking preparation. 4. Include a photo of the dish. 5. Research the history of this particular dish. Where does it come from? How is it typically prepared? This is the part where you want to think sociologically about how this dish relates to issues of race, class, region, etc. as appropriate). Notes: There is no word count this week as every assignment will vary. Just make sure you are following the instructions and answering each question fully. Proofread for grammatical and spelling errors prior to submitting. Ensure that you are submitting your own original work and are not plagiarizing material. Include a list of references used.
