1) Taking five of the pilgrims from Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales, give them a score on a scale between 1 and 10 (10 being the best and 1 the worst) that assesses how good/bad a person they are and to what extent they represent/violate the ideals of their particular social estate. Explain your designation using textual evidence from “The General Prologue.”
2) Which estate do you think comes across the best? Which comes across the worst? Explain your response. You may use some of the evidence you have gathered for Question 1.
