This is for a US Government class. The instructions for this are just to read the lesson and answer the questions, both of which are in the file I attached. The teacher likes the answers to be written in RACE format: ″Please follow the format below to make answering questions easier. Break it into these parts and after a while, you’ll get in a rhythm and it will make homework quicker for you: R – Restate the question. A – Answer the question completely. C – Cite evidence from the text or source. (Where did you find the answer in the lesson text) (Google do not count unless it specifically tells you to use an outside source) E – Explain the text evidence. (Paraphrase or quote directly from the lesson text) Here is an example of broken down: Question: Where was the first capital of The USA? Answer: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is where the first capital of the USA was. RACE R: The first capital of the United States of America was….. A: The city of Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania. C: Located in the reading (name the reading or section) on the page number or paragraph. E: The text states……″the first capital of the United States was located in the city of Philadelphia, and was chosen because Philadelphia was one of the most influential cities at the time.″ How it will look in a complete answer: The first capital of the United States of America was the city of Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania. Located in the lesson reading The Short History of the U.S. in paragraph three, it states, ″the first capital of the United States was located in the city of Philadelphia, and was chosen because Philadelphia was one of the most influential cities at the time.″
