Topic : Disciplines (Habits): Inner and outer habits of a Servant Leader This week’s course learning centres on the habits of a leader – the inner habits (being habits) and the outer habits (doing habits). What habits are holding us back from flourishing as the leaders we aspire to be? What changes might we consider as we develop our thinking and practices as people of influence? This week I invite you to consider your habits, what leaders of influence do that set them apart from those who can’t seem to inspire anyone, including themselves. You are invited to listen to a podcast from a fascinating human interviewed by Dr. Brene Brown as well, deeply reflect on the leadership habits of Jesus – what did he do? How or why did the cultivating of those habits support the work he engaged in and the movement he inspired? Need to reflect on below as well CONTENT: Read the Following: Lead Like Jesus Part III: Chapters 12-16; Part VI: Chapter 25-30 o The Service Culture Handbook by Jeff Toister: Introduction; Part 1: Chapters 1-2. o Book of Mark: Chapters 13-16. o Ken Blanchard (2020).
