TASKS: You will be allocated two companies, their name and Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) codes. For example WOW/RIO would refer to Woolworths and Rio Tinto. For the companies you have been allocated, find and download a copy of the 2020 annual report. For some companies later reports may be issued, but for consistency make sure you get the full year 2020 annual report, not the interim (six monthly) report. You can get the annual report from the ASX website (www.asx.com.au) or from your allocated companies’ websites. On the ASX website, go to announcements and search for your company’s annual report. Scroll though the announcements until you find the report which would have been issued around September (provided the year end is 30th June) or March if the year end is 30th Dec. This may have a different name such as Final Report or Full Year Statutory Accounts. You may not realise it, but this is research; you are searching for information.
