In October 2024, Chile discovers that China has been illegally fishing in its waters. Chile relies on fishing for it economic health. Its fishing industry is one of the biggest in the world.
The history of fishing rights goes back centuries. But many of these legal regulations have not been tested in recent international relations.
What should Chile do? What organizations should Chile appeal to get some help, some redress?
Should Chile resort to military action?
Please reference at least the following topics in your essay response (you can look at others as well): intergovernmental organizations and law, global trade, and threats of armed conflict. Keep in mind that, although Chile is the country we are looking at, the focus of your answer is on international politics.

Defend your position with information and analysis, and, if you wish, with expert opinion. You are welcome to use (and cite) other sources.
