Choose one of the topics listed in the syllabus: CHOSE ONE Diabetes education for African American women- ages 35-50years Diabetes education for African American men- ages 35-50years Hypertension education for African American males-30-50years Hypertension education for African American women- ages 30-50years Prostate cancer education for African American men-under the age of 45years Cervical cancer prevention education for Asian women 25-40years of age Tobacco prevention education for females’ 10-15years of age Tobacco prevention education for male’s 8-13years of age Heart health education for Caucasian female’s 25-45years of age Heart health education for males of Puerto Rican origin 20-35years of age Immunization education for adults 60 years and older attending luncheon at the local senior center Helmet safety education to a group of 15 children with family beginning in a youth football program 2. Identify health promotion and disease prevention issues specific to the age group, gender and nationality stated. 3. Identify barriers to learning for the selected group 4. Develop a comprehensive teaching plan for this group after researching scholarly journals on the topic. Include references and indicate if there is any new information or not. Indicate how the information helps the nurse develop a teaching plan for the group selected Include Nursing Interventions Classifications (NIC) and Nursing Outcomes Classifications (NOC).
