Finalize your thesis statement. Your thesis statement should be 1-2 sentences (no more than 3). After we meet, you may email me a copy of your thesis statement for feedback it you wish.
3. Type your thesis statement at the top of your revised annotated bibliography, just below the assignment title.
4. Revise each of your annotations so that they speak directly to your thesis topic and arguments). In other words, describe in detail how each of your sources provides supporting evidence to support your thesis statement. (You can also state why you agree or disagree with a source, or find their approach more / less convincing, but this is optional).
5. Omit any part of your previous annotation that does not relate to your specific thesis topic and arguments. See my example below.
6. Your revised annotations will likely be around 2-4 sentences; aim to make each annotation detailed in terms of how the specific source’s argument relates to your thesis, yet aim to keep it concise.

8. Please do not repeat the information given in your bibliographic citation in your annotation. I will count off points for this.
9. As before, proofread: remove typos and wordiness (unnecessary words/ i.e. places where you can say the same thing with fewer words).
10. Please BE SURE that book titles, journal titles, and website titles are in italics and article titles or chapter titles are in “quotes” with all major words (generally over three letters long) capitalized. Citations generated by databases often miss this part.
11. Alphabetize your sources by last name, OR, if you prefer to put them in the order that you would use them in a paper, make a note of this for me under your thesis statement.
