Read through the Immigration Law Timeline found here download. Research (using reputable sources!) one of the laws related to immigration and deportation in the United States. (I CHOOSE DACA) Since this week’s material focuses on Latinos, choose a law that focused on or impacted Latino immigration. Though the list does not include it, you may also choose to explore DACA. Create a slide show presentation that explores at least the following: 1) The general economic and political context leading up to the law, 2) The intended purpose of the law, 3) The implications for U.S. society and the non-citizens the law targeted, 4) A personal account of how the law impacted a real person or family (if it’s possible to find this for the law you pick).
