Your assignment is to define your professional ethic code and apply it to two case studies. Use the Ethics Code Bank tab to help craft your ethos. You can also use on-line sources if the Code Bank does not suit you. Make sure you cite whatever sources you do use.
In your paper, you will
Explain why you choose one code over another. Then apply your code to each case study.
Explain how the code works or does not work and what you would do to remain ethical. Understanding ethics is difficult and no one set of rules will always apply.
Follow the guidelines for writing a paper of this nature by citing all your sources.
Final Case Analysis (Essay #3)
At the end of the course, you will develop your ethical code and apply it to two
specifically selected cases. You must apply your individual professional ethical code, to
answer these cases. As long as your ethical code follows the specific guidelines of the
requirements, you should be able to apply your code to the cases. Case analyses need
only refer to your individual ethical code. If your code does not provide a standard for
resolving the ethical dilemma (ie. if you do not follow the guidelines), if you do not take
into consideration the unique circumstances of the case (ie. if you do not read the case
carefully), or if you contradict the statements made in your ethical code (eg. you decide
to do something your code says you won’t or vice versa), these final case analysis will
not receive full credit.
