Conduct a risk analysis for a specific transportation asset in your local community (e.g. , a train station, bus depot, ferry terminal, rail tunnel, highway truck stop, etc. ) . Your analysis should consider three factors:
What kinds of hazards exist for the asset being protected and what threats could impact the asset. Threats may come from natural, technical and/or human caused hazards.
The likelihood or probability of the occurrence of the hazard identified.
An evaluation of the elements of the transportation asset that are vulnerable to the hazards/threats identified.
Analyze the risks to the transportation asset as if you were developing a security plan for that asset. The point of your analysis is to assess the most critical threats facing the asset and supporting your analysis with data from your research.
