ChangeWeek 10 Discussion – Institutionalizing Change
This week you will synthesize your previous work in the course into your change management plan assignment. You will also include a section on sustaining change. In this discussion, you will examine the importance of sustaining change and the strategies leaders can use when seeking to institutionalize change.
In your reading this week you studied three key goals for institutionalizing change:
Assess alignment between the change and the organization’s elements and plan critical activities for institutionalizing the change.
Apply people strategy practices to reinforce the change.
Formulate a change learning strategy.
Choose the goal you believe to be the most important when trying to sustain organizational change.
Explain (in detail) why you believe the chosen goal is more important than the other two.
Determine two (2) specific strategies aligned with your selection that leaders can use to institutionalize change.
