Prior to beginning work on this assignment, review the following:
Select one case from Cases 15, 16, 17, and 18 in Chapter 14, and assume you are a leader who is in charge of addressing the health information issues in your selected case.
For your Health Information Leadership Case Studies assignment, you must complete a three- to five-page paper.
In your paper:
- Describe the health information issue(s) presented in your selected case.
- Judge the impacts of the health information issue(s) on access to care, cost of care, equality of care, patient engagement, patient safety, or quality of care.
- Determine the impacts of the health information issue(s) on health care professionals (e.g., physicians, nurses, other providers, and administrative staff) and the organization’s financial or accreditation status.
- Develop strategies to achieve information technology (IT) values, including a proposed health information solution.
The Health Information Leadership Case Studies paper,
- must be three to five double-spaced pages in length (not including title and references page) and formatted according to APA Style as outlined in the Writing Center’s APA Formatting for Microsoft Word resource.
- must include a separate title page with the following:
- title of paper in bold font
- Space should appear between the title and the rest of the information on the title page.
- student’s name
- name of the institution (The University of Arizona Global Campus)
- course name and number
- instructor’s name
- due date
- title of paper in bold font
- must utilize academic voice. See the Academic Voice resource for additional guidance.
- must include an introduction and conclusion paragraph. Your introduction paragraph needs to end with a clear thesis statement that indicates the purpose of your paper.
- must use at least three scholarly or peer-reviewed sources published in the past five years in addition to the course text.
