The structure of the essay should be very systematic and should have an introduction, argument and conclusion. The sub-points do not have to be in this format, you can model them with different sub-point names. Here is what you should cover in each of the three structural units of the essay:
Introduction – it is about explaining to the reader how you will answer the question. Using which theories and more or less the structure of this essay. How you will structure the argument, that is the introduction. The introduction is not about saying what you know about the title in a descriptive way… That is not required, but rather about talking about the essay. You should explain what the question is that you are answering, how you plan to answer it and what theoretical background you will use and how you will structure the essay.
ARGUMENT – Here you should be theoretically informed but you must not be descriptive. So the topic should be critically processed, but with verbatim quotes from the topic. Do not deviate from that. You should always make references to the literature. Include also the criticism for each of the models that you will process.
CONCLUSION – I think everything is clear how academic it should look.
