Choose a social movement to highlight–It can be from any time period, any size (as you read in your textbook, the size and scope of social movements vary), and in any part of the world. In your discussion, give your classmates some background on the movement (historical background, size, etc.). Then, identify the social issue the movement is attempting to address–there is some issue they are trying to resolve/change–what is it? Discuss their goals, tactics/strategies, their achievements and their shortcomings.
