Assessment scenario You work for a software company that is based in Bradford. The company has been approached by Bradford College who require a mobile application solution to compliment the current website. The college want you to analyse the current website and all it features and decide what needs to be included in the mobile solution and how information will be structured. The first stage of this process requires a written specification of the proposed solution (including images if required) The main focus of your mobile solution is to attract new students onto courses, however you must also consider other elements. You are required to build a mobile app for a subset of the Bradford College website as an application. The main focus of the build will be attracting students onto a course at the college. The app requires the following core functionality •5 pages / activities (these have different names in development platforms) designed using good practices from your research. •Clear evidence that the application supports potential student in selecting a course at Bradford College •A minimum of 1x “advanced” function e.g. an email function The development environment and language/platform are your choice and will be justified in your research. Component 1 The application and accompanying report will contain the following elements – each of which will be equally weighted: Element 1: Identify key requirements from a given task and produce a specification for a mobile application solution.
