Exterior form (size, shape, general organization); C. Plan (a “walk-through” could be helpful); D. Structure & materials; and E. Characteristic features. III. Analysis A. Contextual Analysis 1. Relationship to the city plan; 2. Landscape and streetscape features; and 3. Surrounding buildings. B. Formal & Iconographic Analysis 1. Composition of its design, and 2. Use of ornament. C. Comparative Typological Analysis 1. Compare with at least two other buildings of its type, presumably from its own time period. IV. Conclusion A. What, in your opinion, is the most significant fact about or feature of this building? V. Illustrations must include at least four original drawings or photographs made by the student. Other illustrations may be included as well. Attribution of the source must be given in a caption. The paper should be clearly and persuasively written. Footnotes (or endnotes), bibliography & illustrations should follow the documentation style of the Chicago Style Manual or Turabian′s Manual for Writers
