Pandemic picnic Purpose: This event will bring together residents in the central dover area and members of the community in a way that would engage them boost morale and increase involvement within the community. Residents Can register online allowing us to have a predetermined number of picnic lunches as well as the number of expected attendee’s and spaces necessary to maintain the recommended 6ft of distance per family. After Arrival Residents can be seated in their designated areas and lunches can be served for the families to enjoy the picnic. •A brief welcome and talk about the community, future goals/ Activities, the importance of involvement, the importance of building a stronger community and the value of being a more active member of the community. •Socially distant friendly Activities for the children and families: Pie eating contest, potato sack races, scavenger hunt (egg hunt), etc.… •Music Trivia- Ask Residents for favorite songs during registration use those in a playlist during the event. •Family pictures- Have residents pre-register/ sign up for time slot to have a Spring Portrait taken with family. •Raffles *- possible baskets donated by local businesses, coupons, 50/50 etc. •Offer Resources and information to families- Offer information on getting involved, classes and activities offered, and ways to get assistance.
